She moves again

The Alignment Nashville Newsletter reports that Diane Long, formerly of the MNPS information office and before that education reporter for the Tennessean has moved on again.

The Nashville Alliance for Public Education, Alignment Nashville and the PENCIL Foundation have hired Diane Long to serve as a shared grant writer for all three non-profit organizations. Long’s new position will allow the groups to coordinate and complement grant writing efforts on behalf of Metro Nashville Public Schools.

“Diane has worked with Nashville’s public schools for the last 30 years,” Garrett said. “Her depth of knowledge and her research skills will be invaluable to us.”
I wish her success at her job. She was always gracious and very helpful when I called on her.

The fact that voters will have a say in any property tax increases is going to make every budget year a bit harder, they'll need every dime she can find.
