Thank you, President Bush for setting a high water mark for my sons and children like them in our Public Schools. I am indebted to you.

President Oh no on the other hand has given an unprecedented amount of money to people who made wrong choices, people who lent money to people who couldn't afford the mortgage and then feign outrage that he knew nothing of bonus pay.

So who would you rather give tax monies to: children with disabilities or adults with greed addictions?

Kay,
Alan Keyes won't even call O President, he doesn't consider O a legal US citizen. Have a look around for what Alan Keyes has said recently.Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03046941523697210072noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7186797.post-23523812430682429442009-03-25T16:47:00.000-05:002009-03-25T16:47:00.000-05:00This really is the height of absurdity.First of al...This really is the height of absurdity.

First of all, I love that you'd hail this video as somehow parallel to the attacks you'd like to see on Obama, when the crux of the speaker's criticism rests on the failure of the administration prior to the present crisis to manage debt well then.

The U.S. equivalent of that would be the Bush administration. Under Bush, the national debt increased by a greater amount than it has under any previous president. To adapt a quote from Mr. Hannan, Bush "used the good years...to raise borrowing yet further."

As for Mr. Hannan's insistence that spending can't help counteract a recession - that's an easy claim to wave around with big numbers and demagogic insistence. But I've yet to see any conservative actually try to justify that position, which is pretty much counter to all economic logic I've ever run into.

(And what, exactly, are conservatives who don't try to make an economic argument for their view saying? That liberal politicians with access to top economists all know that deficit spending doesn't work but are doing it anyway, even though it's politically unpopular and easy to attack? What sense does that make?)N.S.
